Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Home Visit Dentist collects, uses and protects your personal information when you contact us or receive dental care from us across England. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly and transparently.

Who we are

The data controller is Dhody’s Ltd (company number 07991919), registered at 341 Birmingham Road, Great Barr, Birmingham, B43 7AP, trading as The Home Visit Dentist. You can contact us about your data on 0330 113 2003 or info@thehomevisitdentist.co.uk.

What information we collect

  • Your name, contact details and address, so we can arrange and carry out a home visit.
  • Medical and dental history relevant to your treatment (this is special-category health data, which we handle with extra care).
  • Details of the care provided, clinical notes and any correspondence with you, your family or carers.
  • Information you enter into our online quote or contact forms.
  • Basic technical information collected by our website (see Cookies below).

How we use your information and our lawful basis

We use your information to provide safe dental care, to contact you about appointments and quotes, to keep accurate clinical records, and to meet our legal and regulatory duties. Under the UK GDPR our lawful bases are: consent and contract (to arrange and deliver your care), legal obligation (record-keeping and regulatory requirements), and, for health data, the provision of health care under Article 9(2)(h). We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

We share information only where necessary for your care or where the law requires it — for example with your GP, a care home or hospital involved in your treatment, our secure IT and record-keeping providers, or a regulator such as the CQC or GDC. Any provider acting on our behalf is bound by a written agreement to protect your data.

How long we keep it

We keep dental records for the periods required by law and professional guidance (for adults, normally at least 11 years after the last treatment, and for children until age 25). Enquiry and quote information is kept only as long as needed to respond to you.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and in some cases to request erasure. To make a request, contact us on 0330 113 2003 or info@thehomevisitdentist.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. No cookie we use identifies you personally without your consent.
